Marshall Skate Park Art Deck Show

Hope everyone’s having an awesome summer. Just wanted to let you all know about this show on Friday, July 30. We’re not playing full band, but Mike will be playing some acoustic songs. Ian Graham (Cheap Girls) and American Mars are playing too. There will also be an auction of original skate decks with artwork by Mike, Dan, Travis, and a ton of others. Plus the premiere of the TV pilot Travis has been working on – DRAGONS. Here’s the teaser…

YSIOALAYA is a nonprofit organization of a group of guys that are working on improving the Marshall Skate Park. Their goal is to raise money to improve the quality and experience of the Marshall Skate Park for Marshallites and visitors alike. The Art Deck Show will be exhibiting one-of-a-kind skateboards done by various local and national artists that will be sold in a silent/live auction. Come down to the Dark Horse and support your local skate park, listen to good music, visit with old friends or make new ones, and come home with a cool board to ride or display for a great cause!

May Shows Update

Hi all. Just wanted to post a quick update on the upcoming shows in May.

May 13 at Great Scott is sold out.

Online pre-sales for May 14 at Cake Shop are sold out. There may be a few tickets left at the door though.

We’ve added an acoustic in-store on May 14, 5pm at Generation Records in NYC. Click here for more details.

May 15 in Philly has been moved to the Church. Keep in mind, it’s a super early show…2:30pm! Click here for tickets.

Kickstarting Dragons

It’s Travis. My friends and I have been working on a t.v. show for the last couple years called Dragons. It got accepted by kickstarter, an exclusive fundraising website aimed to help raise cash for independent projects. The guys at kickstarter like it so much, they are even recommending it. Composite, Volume Two 7″

The second installment of our Composite 7″ series is on the way! Composite, Volume Two will be available on March 9, 2010 from No Idea – just in time for our shows in Florida. The 7″ features two new songs, “Some Optimistic” / “Never Walk This Alone”, and is limited to 1,100 copies (includes a digital download code). We recorded it in our practice space/home studio (aka Dan’s basement) in January, which probably explains why they feel a little slower and colder than Composite, Volume One. That’s what a winter in Michigan will do to a band.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

New 2010 Shows Added

Hi all. We’re excited to announce that we’ve added a few more shows in the months ahead. In March, we’ll be playing in Orlando and Gainesville before Harvest of Hope Fest. In May, we’ve added four shows on the east coast. It’s been over six years since we’ve been there, so we’re really looking forward to it. Tickets are on sale now for all of the shows. See you there!
